Vitamin C IV Drip
High dose Vitamin C, delivered directly into the bloodstream
Oral Vitamin C has a ceiling, your gut only absorbs so much before the rest passes through unused. An IV infusion removes that ceiling entirely, delivering Vitamin C directly into the bloodstream at doses well beyond what’s achievable through diet or supplements alone.
Vitamin C is one of the most requested infusions at the clinic, and for good reason it plays a genuinely broad role in the body, from immune function to collagen production to protecting cells from oxidative stress. Delivered as a high dose infusion, it goes to work immediately rather than waiting on digestion.
Key ingredient: Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), high dose. Often paired with: Glutathione, which Vitamin C helps regenerate once it’s been used by the body see our Glutathione IV Drip →.
Understanding the Ingredient
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin your body can’t produce or store, meaning it needs to be replenished regularly through diet, supplementation, or infusion. Delivered intravenously, it bypasses the digestive absorption limit entirely.
Vitamin C supports:
- Normal immune system function
- Collagen formation, for normal function of skin, blood vessels, bones and cartilage
- Protection of cells from oxidative stress
- Reduction of tiredness and fatigue
- Regeneration of other antioxidants, including glutathione
Because the body can’t store excess Vitamin C, regular replenishment, whether through diet or infusion matters more than a single high dose alone.

Frequently asked questions
Is high dose Vitamin C IV therapy safe?
Yes, when administered by a registered nurse after proper medical screening. Certain conditions (including G6PD deficiency and some kidney conditions) affect suitability, which is why every client completes a pre-screening form and consultation before treatment.
What's the difference between this and a Vitamin C tablet?
Oral Vitamin C is limited by gut absorption the body can only take up so much at once. An IV infusion bypasses that limit, delivering a high dose directly into the bloodstream for immediate use.

How is it different from a Glutathione IV drip?
They’re closely related Vitamin C actually helps regenerate glutathione once it’s been used by the body, so many clients combine both. If you’re unsure which to start with, your nurse can advise at consultation.
How often should I get a Vitamin C IV drip?
This varies by individual and goal some clients use it seasonally for immune support, others as part of a regular course. We’ll advise a suitable schedule at consultation.
How much does a Vitamin C IV drip cost in Dublin?
Single drip €299 – getting a course of 3 or 6 sessions the single drip becomes cheaper at €270 per session.
Are there any side effects?
Most clients feel only a cool sensation during the drip and a sense of hydration after. Mild bruising or light-headedness can occasionally occur. Severe reactions are rare.
Can I exercise after an IV drip?
Resume normal activity as tolerated. If you feel tired or light-headed, hold off on strenuous exercise for a few hours. Keep drinking water through the day and avoid excess caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours.
