What does Mesotherapy do?

How does Mesotherapy work?

This treatment replenishes the skin from within using hydrating microinjections of hyaluronic acid & vitamins. A gel-like substance that absorbs water is injected into the skin. This draws deep skin hydration to the treated areas. This treatment can be used to improve skin quality on the face, neck, decolletage, hands, & areas of acne scarring.

What happens in Mesotherapy during your appointment?

With each session at The Skin Nurse Clinic, you may or may not have numbing medicine applied to your skin. You’ll get several injections using a special short needle. The needle may be connected to a mechanical gun to release many injections in a row.

The injections can be given at different depths — from 1 to 4 millimetres into your skin — depending on what condition you’re having treated. Your doctor may put the needle into your skin at a particular angle, or flick their wrist very fast while injecting. Each dose may only place a tiny drop of the liquid into your skin.

You’ll probably need various mesotherapy sessions to get the desired effect. You should expect to return to the doctor 3 to 15 times. At first, you’ll get the injections every 7 to 10 days. If your skin begins improving, the treatments will be stretched out to once every two weeks or once a month.
