The Skin Nurse, Nicola O’Byrne journey began in Beaumont hospital as an RGN , went onto to general practice as a practice nurse. Gaining much medical experience including women health screening all beautifully dove tailed together. Accompanied with vast training within Dermatology medical clinics ,both In UK and Ireland, including the Beacon Hospital with one of the most talented consultant dermatologists for ten years she has learned form the best.
Her unique knowledge of both medical dermatology and aesthetic medicine sets her apart from other nurses as she is qualified to treat both medical conditions ( acne, rosacea , mole mapping )and deliver aesthetic treatments . As a nurse prescriber she is qualified to assess, diagnose and prescribe with in the area of dermatology.
As a founding member and former chairperson of DANAI (Dermatology Aesthetics Nurses Association Ireland – www.danai.ie ) her aim and indeed achievement is to work to deliver highest standard of medical care. Nicola acted as a representative to develop standards with the National Standards Authority Ireland (NSAI) to help regulate the area of non-surgical aesthetics.
