Meet The Skin Nurse Team

Our team came together from identifying what patients requirements were. A holistic approach to skin. Putting patients skin in the context of their whole body and mind.
As a result of this, our team is a blend of a talented group of individuals including Irish registered dermatologist Dr. Beidi, Dr. Ranbir Kaulsay, Dr. Steve Karagiannis, dermatology nurses, women health nurses, therapists and our talented reception staff.

Nicola O’Byrne, (MSC, RGN, CNS)

The Skin Nurse, Nicola O’Byrne began as RGN, with vast training within Dermatology medical clinics both In UK and Ireland.
As a nurse prescriber she is qualified to assess, diagnose and prescribe with in the area of dermatology. Nicola is a founding member and former chairperson of DANAI (Dermatology Aesthetics Nurses Association Ireland) her aim and indeed achievement is to work to deliver the highest standard of medical care. Nicola acted as a representative to develop standards with the National Standards Authority Ireland (NSAI) to help regulate the area of non-surgical aesthetics.

Dr. Gursharan Kaur Bedi

Dr. Bedi is a consultant dermatologist with many years of experience within this area, and specialises in acne. Dr Bedi is on the Irish specialist register, her IMC number is 306444.

Dr Steve Karagiannis

Dr Steve Karagiannis is the founder and owner of SkinCheck Ireland. He is an Australian Skin Cancer Doctor as well as a GP. His special interest and training is in Early Skin Cancer Detection using Dermoscopy, which is the gold standard for detecting melanoma at its earliest identifiable stage. Over the past ten years, he has travelled back and forth to Australia, USA, Spain, Austria and the UK, gaining the most up to date skills and knowledge in order to give his patients the best possible care. Dr Steve obtained a Fellowship at the Skin Cancer Institute following the completion of Professional Diplomas.

Dr Aliya Rahim

Dr Aliya Rahim

Dr Aliya Rahim graduated from Khyber Medical College University of Peshawar in 1994. She is a fully registered practitioner in Ireland since 2000 and is registered on the Specialist GP Register of The Medical Council of Ireland. Dr Aliya Rahim has trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Ireland and has a Higher Diploma in Obstetric Gynaecology from UCD in 1997. She is a practicing General practitioner with special interest in Women’s health and Sexual health. She also provide care in the field of substance misuse. The surgery provide training and teaching to undergraduate Medical students.
