How will I know which Medical Grade Chemical Skin Peel is right for me?

A full complimentary consultation with our experienced Dermatology Nurse Specialist will decide which peel is the right peel for you. Our Dermatology Nurse Specialist will take into account how much downtime if any you are prepared to give this treatment and precisely what results you are looking for taking into account your past medical history.

What should I expect?

The peel treatment at The Skin Nurse Clinic comprises a simple 20-minute procedure that painlessly removes the micro-thin top layer of skin that clogs your pores and prevents you from having better skin. The treated surface will appear smoother and softer with plumper and more hydrated feel.

We will describe everything in detail & make you feel at real ease & relaxed on the day of your treatment, knowing you’re in safe, expert & medically qualified hands.

It may be that a chemical peel isn’t the right treatment for your wrinkles or acne, which is why our experienced Dermatology Nurse Specialist will discuss all the options with you during your consultation.

How safe is a Medical Grade Skin Peel?

We strongly recommend that your chemical peel is carried out by a qualified practitioner. The products we use are more durable than products which can be purchased from a pharmacy.

Your skin will naturally be sensitive after this chemical peel, so we urge patients to avoid the sun & wear factor 50 at all times.

Is there any downtime?

No, there’s no downtime, and you can resume your normal activities after treatment. Approximately 3 days later, you will notice some skin exfoliation and may choose to limit your activities.

I’m interested in having a chemical skin peel but will it hurt?

There’s no need for any anaesthetic, you may experience a hot, itchy, stingy sensation that lasts a short while, followed by a stinging sensation. A cold compress afterwards can help to ease this.
