What are chemical skin peels?
With a chemical skin peel, solution made up of ingredient for example lactic acid /glycolic acid and retinol which is applied to the skin which causes it to slough off and peel off. The result is a smooth, less wrinkled complexion.
What can they be use for?
Chemical peels are suitable for the face, neck, back decollage and even the hands.
They can treat:

What should I expect?
The peel treatment involves a simple 20-minute procedure which painlessly removes the micro-thin top layer of skin that clogs your pores and prevents you from having better skin. Treated skin will appear smoother and softer with a plumper and more hydrated feel.
We will explain everything in detail and make you feel at ease and relaxed on the day of your treatment, knowing you’re in safe, expert and medically qualified hands.
It maybe that a chemical peel isn’t the right treatment for your wrinkles or acne, which is why your practitioner will discuss all the options with you at your consultation.
How safe are they?
We strongly recommend that your chemical peel is carried out by a qualified practitioner. Your skin will naturally be sensitive after a chemical peel, so we advise patients to avoid the sun and wear factor 50 at all times.
Is there any downtime?
No, there’s no downtime and you can resume your normal activities after treatment. 3 days later approx you will have some skin exfoliation.
I’m interested in having a chemical skin peel but will it hurt?
There’s no need for any anesthetic so you may experience a hot . itchy , stingy sensation that lasts a short while, followed by a stinging sensation. A cool compress afterwards can help to ease this.
